What is your postcard design process?
It’s really quite simple. We take the guess work out of it for you. You no longer have to order this, or print that, stamp it, label it, mail it and then hope you did it all right. (In fact, we do it all for about the cost of the postage stamp* alone.)
And with our quick turnaround time, it’ll be in the mail in no time.
1.) Call us and let us know what you are interested in. We’ll ask you a few questions to help uncover any hidden needs you might have, and to ensure we can create for you the most successful campaign possible.
2.) We’ll discuss artwork, and offers, and really pay close attention as we discuss the message you want to get out into your market place. We’ll also discuss targeting your market and focus in on any specific demographics in your audience that you want to reach. Mailing to a targeted market is essential to have a successful direct mail marketing campaingn, so feel free to ask any questions and tell us anything we know about your business.
3.) From there, our Creative Department designs a “comp” to allow you to see your project as it comes to life.
(Do you have your own graphic designer you prefer working with, and want to submit your art work camera ready? See below for details.)
4.) As we work on your custom creation, we’ll send to you mailing list counts, via email, to confirm the specific demographics we need to reach.
5.) You’ll send us a list of any changes you need to see, and we’ll send you back a final proof.
6.) You’ll review it once more, and more times than not, we’re good to go!
7.) We print your piece, prepare the mailing lists, do the addressing and processing for the post office, and supply you with documentation from the Post Office confirming delivery.

I don’t have a good graphic artist. Can you help?
Yes, we can. Because we specialize in Direct Mail and Direct Response formats, our knowledgeable designers and copy specialists know how to target your market and create a message that speaks directly to their needs.
I have my own graphic artist. Is that okay?
Yes, we happily work in a collaborative effect with you and your other design and marketing professionals. But keep in mind that there are a lot of people who consider themselves graphic artists because they can “do design.†So be sure they are successful in Direct Mail copy writing, and Direct Response ad designing. It is key to your success. And if you are unsure, don’t worry. We include, at no extra charge, all design and copy writing services when you participate in our program. Call today for specific camera ready submission requirements.
Aren’t in-house custom design services usually expensive?
Yes, normally they can be quite expensive. Many other agencies and printing companies charge $1500 for design concepts alone. That doesn’t even include printing. However, with Yourtown Direct’s Postcard Mailing Program, we actually include all design and copy writing in our bundled pricing. It’s top notch design, and a great value for you. And as you can tell by our every day low price, we aren’t jacking up the price on print. We believe we can offer you a great product, superior customer service, and earn your repeat business and referrals. That’s what helps us keep our prices so low, and our customers coming back for more!
Why is a ‘campaign’ important?
A campaign tells an ongoing story about you and your business to your current and prospective customers. You need to make a connection, one they can count on being there when they need it. It is important to design a campaign, consisting of at least 3 contacts, each one with a specific purpose in mind.
For example, the first one can introduce you and your product, and offer a nice discount or premium (such as a gift with purchase) as the call to action. That’s what you want. Them to be called to action, to respond to your offer.
Contact #2 – We often recommend few if any changes to the first contact. Repetition is key, and now you are a familiar face to many, so you don’t want to alter your look. Perhaps change your offer, but don’t change much more. You are familiar, and that is a comfortable place for them. When they need a service you provide, they’ll likely think of you.
Contact #3 – Keeping the same familiar face, now you may want to tell another “part of your story.” Change your offer, or enhance the “Call to Action.†Now your ‘target market’ is recognizing you on a regular basis. When the need arises or your offer sparks their interest, chances are you’ll be the one they seek to meet that need. So keep your name and face out there. Meet them at their mailbox. Give them an offer too good to refuse, and you, too, will join the ranks of so many business owners and professionals who experience the rewards from Youtown Direct’s Postcard Mailing Program!
How do I pay for my order?
All orders, accompanied by the signed quote, are paid in advance by a company check, personal check or Visa, MasterCard or American Express.
We request that 50% of the production charges are due with the order, the balance due upon proof approval. We can take credit cards for your production charges but we will need a check to be sent for postage. Postage checks need to arrive at least 3 business days before your mail date.
